1 ½ Lbs.Of ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork).

1 medium onion – chopped finely.

1 small head of cabbage, finely shredded.

Salt and pepper to taste.

OPTIONAL:

2 Cups.Of shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss).
